Quite possibly the new range of 1/35 scale ammo from Eureka XXL matches that description.

 

Based on data from original German manuals and photographs, modern CNC machines have been used to ensure absolute accuracy. Each of this series of high quality sets contains turned aluminium shells and brass cases plus resin and PE parts for the appropriate ammo boxes. Full painting instructions are also included.

 

They only way these could be more realistic is if they contained explosive!
